Let's build you a cozy business!

I am so glad you found my little corner on the internet! I'm sure we will be good friends if you are a fellow introvert that loves cozy vibes! I'm here to show you how to grow an online business while staying comfy on your couch! pst... no social media required!

Why Introverted Female Entrepreneurs Need Websites That Do the Talking

In this post I’m sharing why all introverted female entrepreneurs need a website!

If you’re an introverted business owner, chances are the idea of “being visible” online feels a little intimidating and unnatural. I mean, as introverts we don’t often wake up and think “let’s share every moment of our day on social media today”. Personally, I love being home and cozy so much that if I wanted to show up daily on Stories, I would have to get ready and plan to leave my apartment to make my life seem interesting. To make it seem like my days are not just working and cuddling with my pup on the couch.

When we see extroverts showing up every single day on socials – they make their lives seem so fun and interesting. And I’m sure they are, but the difference is that as introverts we don’t have that type of energy. We don’t want to show up every single day and interact with others in person (how unaligned that would be!).

Constant networking, posting every day on social media, and trying to keep up with the latest marketing trends is honestly draining!

But here’s the truth: your website can do the heavy lifting for you. When built with strategy and aligned messaging, it can quietly attract your ideal clients – even while you’re resting and recharging your energy. Because the truth is, we do have a different type of energy than extroverts; it can diminish quickly and we end up needing some down time to recover. And if we have limited bursts of energy it should be used on client work or providing your services. Not dancing on a Reels trend hoping your ideal clients might see it!

Why Your Website Matters as an Introvert

When you optimize your website for SEO you are attracting your ideal clients through your website. SEO is Search Engine optimization – adding specific content related to your clients search behaviour onto your website so Google can serve it in search results. The people that find your website through search are actively searching for your content. This makes them a warm lead – they are already interested in your business. Maybe they’re not ready to buy at that very moment but they are searching for content related to your business. It’s a better lead that showing up in front of an audience who has zero interest in what you offer – they just happened to interact with the same audio you chose for a reel.

A bonus all introverts will love:

Your website works around the clock, so you don’t have to. For introverted female entrepreneurs, this is especially powerful because it allows you to:

  • Step off the social media hamster wheel – Instead of relying on daily posting, your website becomes your hub of evergreen content.
  • Showcase your values with intention – You can write, edit, and refine your message in a way that feels authentic, not forced.
  • Let clients find you naturally – With the right SEO strategy, you won’t need to chase after leads – the right ones will come to you.

I’m not going to pretend it’s been easy to not focus on social media. I really had to do some deep personal work to trust myself and show up online in a way that feels authentic to me – through SEO and Blogging. I’m only human! And honestly, I got shiny object syndrome so often my first 2 years in business! It wasn’t until year 3 that I made a commitment to myself: I am going to focus on SEO and Blogging consistently twice a week. And if I show up anywhere else – it’s a bonus. I made a promise to myself that I would always, no matter what, post my blog twice a week.

And the results have paid off!

I deleted the IG app off my phone. I can still access it to check on messages, I’ll post to keep my account active because I do still get clients through IG. But I only show up there when I want to! I never force myself to if it doesn’t feel right at that moment.

My results from focusing on SEO and Blogging

As with anything – SEO and Blogging both take time to start getting traction. It can take anywhere from 6-12 months to start seeing results. Now to be perfectly up front – I did used to randomly post blogs throughout my first two years in business. Never twice and week and never longer than 4 months consistently. Also, my website was up for over 2 years when I finally optimized my website SEO. This means that I already had some website authority built up which helps build trust with Google! It was a small head start compared to starting from scratch.

I optimized my website SEO and started blogging twice a week 6 months ago. You can see a huge increase in website Impressions below. There is an increase in Click Throughs as well but not as big of a difference as you see with Impressions; this is totally normal! Website Impressions will always increase before the CTR (Click Through Rate). So I am right on track for this strategy working long-term!

Google search console results

Here you can see a comparison of the last 6 months vs the previous 6 month period. AKA before and after I optimized for SEO and start blogging twice a week consistently.

Google search console results

I really started noticing a difference three months into this strategy. You can see the difference between the last 3 months vs the same period last year (2024).

What is CTR (Click Through Rate) on Google Search Console:

The CTR is the amount of times a user actually clicks on your clink through Google Search Results.

What are Impressions in Google Search Console:

Impressions are the number of times your website links appear in Google Search Results.

Google Search Console CTR and Impressions

The Impressions always increase before your CTR. This is because your website links will most likely start appearing on later pages, for example: page 5 of Search Results. But the longer that page is on the internet and the more trust it builds with Google; the higher it will start to climb. The closer it gets to page 1 on Google the higher the chances of users clicking through on to your web page. And if you have multiple blog posts ranking in Search Results over time you will have those blog posts climbing closer to page 1 and inevitably your CTR will increase!

How to Build an Aligned Website That Attracts Clients

  1. Start with strategy before design
  2. Use content marketing to provide value and build trust
  3. Highlight your unique approach
  4. Make calls-to-action clear (but gentle)

1. Start with strategy before design

Pretty websites don’t pay the bills. You need one that guides visitors to take action—whether that’s booking a call, signing up for your email list, or purchasing your services.

I learned this over time working as a Website Designer and I can’t express it enough. If you want your website to grow your business you need to focus on strategy before design! Yes, design is extremely important – I don’t deny that! But in order to attract the right clients and to convert those leads there needs to be a strategy.

When I work with clients we always discuss what the main goal of their website is. What action do they want their visitors to take? This can be booking a consultation call, signing up for their newsletter or purchasing a course. Whatever it is, we need to guide your users to take that action. And we need to make it as easy as possible for them to find what they’re looking for. And to answer any question they might have in order to take the action you want them to!

If my clients hire me for SEO this goes even deeper into strategy. I do SEO keyword research and competitor analysis. We determine where there’s opportunity for them to rank in Search Results and how to actually get in front of their ideal clients.

Then we take all of this information and build your website design based on your unique website strategy!

2. Use content marketing to provide value and build trust

Blog posts, resources, and guides give your audience a reason to keep coming back. They also improve your SEO, so you show up when potential clients are searching for answers.

This is where consistently blogging comes into play! Each blog post is a single piece of highly valuable content that helps your ideal client in some way. When you continue to help your clients by providing educational and valuable content you start to build trust; and a community!

Building trust is the best way to sell as an introverted entrepreneur. We don’t love making hard pitches – it feels so icky and unaligned! But when you are building this community through sharing content regularly – your people build a connection to you. When they are ready to buy you will be top of mind. This is honestly the best way to sell as an introvert – in my opinion!

I have booked multiple clients through blog posts. And the interesting thing was that most of those weren’t blog posts directly related to website design or SEO. The blog posts I get the highest conversions from are related to marketing as a Projector in Human Design. I touch on how an SEO optimized website and Blogging is a great strategy for Projectors, similar to Introverts (I am both!). And these readers connected with me on a deeper level than just a Designer. We understood each other and they trusted me to design their custom websites! It’s a really special experience when your clients are so aligned – and blogging brings those people in!

3. Highlight your unique approach

Introverts often excel at listening deeply and creating meaningful connections. What a beautiful gift! Not only are you showing up in an authentic way when you market through SEO and Blogging – you’re building those meaningful relationships. You’re able to slow down and intentionally write and create content that will resonate with your audience.

Continue to share value through your content, use your copy and visuals to connect with your ideal clients. Clients who share your values and the work you do will resonate with your message and come into your world naturally.

4. Make calls-to-action clear (but gentle)

As an introvert, you may not want to sound “salesy.” Luckily, your CTAs don’t have to be pushy. Use language that feels like an invitation instead. For example: “Let’s chat about your project” or “Start your journey here.”

Remember, you’ve spent time building your community through providing value and building trust. Your sales pitch doesn’t have to be loud or pushy. It can be aligned with your tone of voice – which they’re used to reading through your content.

The audience you build through this type of content marketing (blogging) is already primed. They’re not a cold audience where you need to use car salesman tactics – buy now or never ever again! Okay, maybe that’s not accurate – but you get the picture. Your sales pitch can be a gentle nudge or reminder that you’re now taking new clients; it’s an invitation rather than a sales pitch.

Content Marketing: Why it’s a secret weapon for Introverts

Here’s the best part: you don’t have to constantly put yourself out there to attract clients. Content marketing lets you create value once and reap the benefits long-term.

  • Blog posts answer your audience’s biggest questions.
  • SEO makes it easier for them to find you.
  • Your website builds trust before you even meet.

Not only that, your blog posts and website SEO have a compounding effect. Once they start gaining traction; it will continue to grow! This is why Blogging and SEO are a long-term marketing strategy; the sooner you get started the better! A single blog post has the opportunity to continue to bring you clients for years! That’s right, that is not a spelling error!

Let me repeat myself for the people in the back: A single blog post can attract your ideal clients for YEARS!

It’s a no brainer marketing strategy as an introvert! You get to write your content, comfortably from your couch, or a cafe if you’re feeling up for it that day. Write it, schedule it, post it – rinse and repeat. Not a single application of make up required!

Final Thoughts

For introverted female entrepreneurs, your website isn’t a space online; it’s your partner in business growth. With strategy, aligned messaging, and content that connects, your website can become your quiet but powerful marketing tool.
