We’ve all heard it before, your brand is more than just a logo! But for all the people in the back I will say it one more time… Your brand is more than just a logo or a color palette!

Your brand is how your people feel your energy, it’s how your audience experiences your business before ever having any point of real contact with you. 

A strong personal branding strategy for beginners can help you:

I’ll be honest, I waited 2 years before investing in personal branding myself. If you’re wondering if I do brand design myself, the answer is, yes and no. I do offer a simple branding with my website design services which includes a color palette, font pairing and a simple wordmark logo. However, I am by no means a graphic designer. 

But in year three of my business I wanted to get really clear on my Ideal Client Avatar (ICA) and connect with them on a deep level. And to be honest, my business was way too close for me. I couldn’t see it from a designers perspective because I would overthink everything. Whereas when I create a simple brand for a client I can see the vision more clearly. All this to say, before you invest in a brand designer you can go ahead and use this guide to design your own personal brand!

I do want to mention, only use images from social media platforms as inspiration for your brand. You do not own these images (unless you get written consent from the creator). If you want images you can use on your website etc. use stock image websites like Pexels or Unsplash.

This doesn’t need to be complicated. Many solopreneurs create a simple brand board or one-page guide in Canva.
